Collect wild garlic, flowers and leaves from the woodland, coast & hedge. Gourmet feast with botanical cocktails at The Wild Kitchen, a Georgian house in Deal, Kent.
Meadow & Coast: Saturday 14th April 1-6 pm
After a gourmet feast at The Wild Kitchen, we explore an ancient meadow for flowers & herbs. Then to the beach with our shrimping nets. It is a low ‘Spring’ tide just right for finding tasty wild prawns & edible seaweeds.
Flowers & Trees: Saturday 26th May
How to identify blossoms, petals and leaves to be used in Medicines, drinks and as food. Enjoy a fragrant floral feast back at The Wild Kitchen, a fine Georgian townhouse in Deal Kent. Rose petal gin and tonic anyone?
Shellfish special: Saturday 9th December (2017) 9.30-2 pm & 22nd September (2018) 2-6 pm
Wild oysters, winkles, limpets and mussels for the picnic feast. Learn how to best cook shellfish, eaten fresh with fizz, under the dramatic skies that inspired J M W Turner.
